Love, Joy, Peace...
The Swifton First Food Pantry exists to meet individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, financial hardship, or crisis including seniors, single parents, the working poor, and those facing unexpected emergencies with nutritious food, dignity, compassion, and the love of Christ in a welcoming environment.
Its mission is to provide food, encouragement, and hope while pointing people to Jesus through practical care and genuine relationships. The vision is for a community where no one feels forgotten or alone, and where every person who walks through the doors encounters God’s love, experiences generosity, and connects to lasting hope and support.
Beyond food, the pantry offers compassion, prayer, and kind conversations creating space for people to experience God’s tangible love and grow in their relationship with Him. Activities include regular food distributions, emergency assistance, volunteer opportunities, community outreach events, and partnerships for additional support and spiritual care.
Rachel manages every aspect of the Swifton First Food Pantry, overseeing distributions, volunteers, organization, and partnerships to ensure the ministry runs smoothly and serves the community effectively.
Anyone can get involved by volunteering during distribution days, donating food or supplies, helping with organization and delivery, or partnering through prayer and outreach. Reach out to Rachel for more information!
